  • Bear Trap Canyon Trail: This trail follows the Madison River, offering access to great fishing spots and scenic views. It's a 9-mile trek that starts out easy and becomes more strenuous in the upper sections.

  • Elk River Trail: A relatively short and easy hike, the Elk River Trail is 3 miles roundtrip. It winds through timber and along the Elk River, and can be extended by connecting with other trails like the Lobo Mesa Trail.

  • Hollow Top Lake Trail: This is a spectacular 12.5-mile roundtrip hike, particularly known for its beauty in the autumn. It's a moderately difficult trail that leads to Hollow Top Lake, which is home to rainbow trout. Hikers can enjoy views of the Spanish Peaks and the Gallatin Valley.

  • Jack Creek Trail: Located in the foothills of Fan Mountain, this trail follows Jack Creek. It's an easy day hike that is great for late-spring adventures, with wildflowers and wildlife sightings.

  • Helmet and Sphinx Mountain Trail: If you're looking for a challenge, this is a difficult 10.7-mile out-and-back trail with a significant elevation gain.
